Livingston & Rio Dulce
Garifuna Archaeology, Nature and Culture in the Caribbean of Guatemala. Departing from Guatemala City towards Izabal, we will visit Quiriguá, where we will see its impressive sculptures, the great plaza, and the “Stela E” the highest monument sculpted in the Mayan world. We embark on the Rio Dulce between tropical flora and diversity of fauna until we reach Livingston. At night we will enjoy this beautiful Garifuna town. Sunset in Yaxhá from Flores
At noon, we will move to the Yaxhá Archaeological Site to visit one of the largest Mayan sites protected from Civilization. During the visit you will have the opportunity to see the main temples, corresponding to the Classic period. The tour will end from the top of Temple 216 where In the background you can see the wonderful Yaxhá lagoon, which will serve as the setting for the sunset and thus, you can see a magnificent sunset. Minimum: 2 persons
